Passing CRM credentials to ISV application

Good morning,

I have found tons of articles online on how to call into Dynamics from a ISV application creating the appropriate CRMAuthentication token - however - I would like to do the opposite have CRM pass the authentication token to me so I can use the CRM authentication values (username) to implement SSO in my application but without using AD.

Is this possible or am I approaching this the wrong way.

    Hi -  you can pass the credentials out in the URL for your application assuming you can get to them.  So if your ISV application is a web service:

    // Start an instance of the Web service client-side proxy.

    localhost.MyService myProxy = new localhost.MyService();

    myProxy.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;

    I am unable to test this theory at the moment, so I am not sure if this will help you at all.

    Actually it is a lot easier than I expected - if I turn on Windows Authentication in my ISV web site I will then have access to the Windows credentials from the browser. Fairly straight-forward and did not take me much time at all.
