Hi All,

I have a managed solution(comprises of 2 entities & 3 web resources) in all my three environments (DEV,UAT & PROD). Now I want to make changes to above 2 entities and 3 web resources and promote same to PROD. How can I achieve this ?

    Hi,

    Create a new patch solution of this in dev , make your changes and take them to prod then roll up the patch.

    Hi ,

    Create another unmanaged solution and include the entities over there from your existing managed solution and change whatever you want there . You can create additional entity or webresource in the new solution also.

    Finally export the unmanaged solution and  import your all target environment.

    Make sure your target environment should exists the old solution while import the new managed solution.

    Thank you Gotam..So, should I export it as managed or unmanaged ?.. Also, in future ,for any changes (minor/major) , how shall I proceed ?

    You should export as managed as other environment are managed to make your instance clean. For major and minor changes use Solution patch in future on top of new unmanaged solution.
