what is statistical measure provider template? and how we use it in the cost accounting module?
how to determine and choose these different fields?
regarding the policies for cost accounting, is it obligatory to use them all to implement the cost control workspace?
Hi,
No it is not mandatory. You can use only the ones you need to use.
Templates are used if you want to use any statistics from system like human resource head count or route hours sum.
hello, i am using the cost distribution, cost behaviour, cost allocation policies and overhead rate policy. but i am not finding the difference between cost allocation and cost distribution. and what is the main purpose of the overhead rate policy and the statistical measure provider template?
Cost distribution
Is used to distribute cost from one cost object to one or more other cost objects by applying a relevant allocation base. Cost distribution and cost allocation differ in that cost distribution always occurs at the level of the primary cost element of the original cost and no reciprocal processing.
Cost allocation
Is used to allocate the balance of a cost object to other cost objects by applying an allocation base. Finance supports the reciprocal allocation method. In the reciprocal allocation method, the mutual services that auxiliary cost objects exchange are fully recognized. The system automatically determines the order to perform the allocations in and iterate over it. The balance of a cost object is allocated by a single allocation base. Allocations across cost object dimensions and their respective members are supported. The allocation order is controlled by the cost control unit.

yes, but what is the meaning of ranges, fate field, sourcetable? what to choose and why between these options? is it possible to have a short call or somehow to connect for having a discussion please?
You need to define allocation keys.
Statistical measures are for to define the allocation keys.
You can define allocation keys in 2 ways. One way is to use statistical measure templates. This is used to have the statistical measures from the system. If you do not have this information in the system like floor sqm etc, then you can upload this statistics in the system and use your own statistical measure.
You can find how system calculate overheads below.

thank you but is it possible to have a teams meeting for a short call?
Source table is from which table you want to use your statistics in the from.
For example if you want to use machine hours, you can select prodroutetrans, if you want to have the head count you can select employee table.
In ranges you can give criteria from that table. Forexample from employee table you only want to workers but not contractor as head count, you can select only type of worker. Or In route operations you only want to sum up Fill/pack operation , you can give criteria.
Criteria is optional. So if you do not have any critera, you do not need to define any criteria
