I've run into some odd problems when I did my upgrade in my test environment. No errors were reported during or after the update. First, the default workflow security tasks and roles did not load. Also, the RW_CoAddrIDInfo function in my reports is no longer working. I've tried rolling back up my test environment and re-running the update, but same results.
Any ideas or suggestions of what to look for?

I agree George which is why I create the scripts.
As an admin, it would been nice to have it in the script bundle from the start. The upgrade is cumbersome enough without having to manually add tasks and roles. I don't understand how anyone thought this was a good idea. I do appreciate the script. I'm suggesting it get added to the documentation and script bundle.
George the upgrade manual shows you how to manually create the tasks, my blog provides you the scripts. The scripts are not in the upgrade manual. The purpose of the blog is to give you another option beside manually setting the roles and tasks up.
You are right it's on page 73. I missed it. Though it is telling you to manually add them, not run a script. Also, as an admin, this is rather a PITA to expect us to manually add all these roles as per the doc.
However, I don't see your script in the GP2013UpgradeSQLScripts.zip. Here are the files I see:

I clicked on the Scripts which links to a direct file that opens up which has all the scripts. Also I am 100% sure they are in the upgrade manual for R2. This is on page 73 under the Create Security Role section. Here is a direct link to the R2 upgrade manual which as this information:
Any suggestions on why the workflow is not working though the roles/tasks exist? Also, your post (community.dynamics.com/.../missing-new-security-roles-and-task-when-upgrading-to-gp-2013-r2.aspx) states that the script to add the roles is documented in the Upgrade Instructions and the script is there to download. Maybe I missed it, but I don't see the script in the zip file or the fact you need to run it in the docs. You should double check this to prevent others from having the same problem.
Jonathan, while the script did add the roles and tasks, it seems something else did not work right during the upgrade. I've created a workflow and submitted a Purchase Req. It is not showing up for the approver to approve. I'm really wondering if there is more wrong with the install/upgrade than just missing roles.
No idea George I try to stay away from RW questions as it is much too complex for me :).
