I am trying to install Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011 Service Pack 2 and 3 on Server 2008 R2 Standard 64 bit.  I am getting the following error:  An unknown error (-2147024770 occurred.  From C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\SL\Applications\MicrosoftDynamicsSL2011SP3\ServicePack\RT  To C:\Windows\SysWOW64\   Filename SWIMAPI.dll

I have tried to install this under the local administrator account as well as a domain Administrator account with the same issue. I have tried to run this as administrator and not and get the same issue either way.

    Hi,
Locate the Swimapi.dll files on System32 and SysWOW64 and rename files. Now Install again.

I tried to rename the file as well as I also deleted the file with now luck.  Also in the system32 folder that file did not exist.  Also I have granted full control to everyone one the syswow64 and the system32 with still no luck.

    Any other ideas?

Verify that the 32-bit version of the Updated C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable package is installed:1.Review the hotfix installation instructions to determine whether the hotfix installation requires the Updated C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable package.

Download and install the package before you try to install the hotfix.

Note The Updated C++ Redistributable package can be found at the following location:
