How to disable Charts and KPIs on Navigation List Pages

Hi,

We have Vendor Workflow activated recently and when I go to Vendors Navigation List, it takes labout 5-7 mins to load  the page every time as I believe due to the volume of the data it needs to process for Charts and KPIs besides the Vendor List. Is there a way to disable this entire section? I tried to rename the folder Purchasing>>> Charts and KPIs in SSRS Reports, but that didnt help.

Thanks,

Jothikrishnan

Try checking this link - it is designed for removing errors but the script also helps turn off business analyzer reports.  gplifehacks.com/.../gplifehack-117-how-to-quickly-resolve-navigation-list-errors

    Hi Derek,

Thank you for your response. I figured out the option "List View Customization" and  unmarked Show Information, Show Business Analyzer and also removed all the reports under Report Settings list. Now it just takes 1 min 30 secs...much better, but I have only 1 record under "Vendors Pending Approval". I traced and it seems it goes through complete vendor list (about 3000) one by one and finally displays the result, not passing like single query to get the results.

    Regards,

    Jothikrishnan

If you have SQL SRS reports deployed, some navigation lists when accessed will open a small box to the right of the list data, which has a series of SSRS reports in it that correspond to the list being accessed. I've seen this cause the lists to take a bit to load, but normally it isn't 5-7 minutes.

The other thing I'd look at is the tables the lists are pulling from, such as using a dexsql.log or SQL profiler trace, so you can then see how many records are in each of the tables being pulled from, as obviously the more records that the lists need to go through and filter for the data being pulled into the lists, the longer the lists will take to populate.

    Hi Mariano,

Appreciate your response! I dont have Business Analyzer installed separately. Are there some components getting installed as part of regular GP installation.  Also I just came across this post which shows the option to Hide the section. I would still prefer to uninstall this component if there is a possibility as no one uses it.

This requires you to uninstall Business Analyzer.
