After launching an AX client session, the first SSRS report is very slow to render. After the first SSRS report renders, additonal reports load and run almost instantaneously until the user closes the session.
There is no problem running reports outside of AX directly through the web interface, they load and run quickly.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

After researching this problem further, I don't think it is possible, the AOS apparently is caching the shell that displays the SSRS report after the first launch for subsequent use. After logging out, it is getting discarded.
@ Clift,
Recently me to observed the same behavior. Did you get any pointers on how to reduce the time taken by ssrs loading for first time as well?
Thanks
Thank you for your response. The problem is not with the SSRS server itself, reports run fine first time quickly when viewed through a web browser, the problem is with Dynamics AX rendering of the first report, new session.
The issue is caused by srs recycling which is by default set to 720minutes.
You need to edit reporting server config (msdn.microsoft.com/.../ms157273.aspx)
to change that.
c:\program files\microsoft sql server\msrs10.mssqlserver\reporting services\reportserver\RSReportServer.config
set RecycleTime parameter to lets say 1440. Time units are minutes.
