Hi,

Could you please let me know how I can set the AX2012 customer invoice to English. I want to change the language on the customer invoice when exporting it to PDF. Please let me know how I can solve this step by step.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards

Tony

you can change the language field in the header of the SO or PO, and the report will take that languageId and will show you the labels in the language you select it.

    Thanks!

Can I somehow change the language for the customer account so that every invoice concerning the customer is printed in the same language no matter what

    Hi Tony111,

Please check what language is setup with your customer account.

This language is inherited into the project contract funding sources and defines the language of your project invoices.

If you do not like to have the current language please do the following

    (1) Change the language for your project contract funding source in the project contract form

    (2) Change the language in the AR module that is setup with your customer account.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    How should I proceed

    Hi Tony,

You talk about an already posted project invoice or do you refer to a project invoice proposal?

If you talk about the project invoice proposal - simply delete the proposal - change your language settings and create a new proposal and the new language should be taken into consideration.

If you talk about an already posted invoice then I would say that you cannot simply get this printed in a different language. This would not be in line with GAAP because you would basically manipulate an already created invoice document. In this case you have to create a credit note, change the language setup and then create a new invoice. Otherwise, you will get into trouble with auditors and the tax office.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Just to clarify, I have now changed the language for the customer account and also changed the language for your project contract funding source in the project contract form. When I print future project invoices for that customer account it will be in the language I setup.

    That sounds good :-)

Is this what you try to achieve or did you refer primarily to already posted invoices?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

The project invoice is already posted.

    Thanks for your help!

    Best regards
