window view defaults

Several years ago a forum member helped me out by sending me some VBA files to change the default settings of how certain windows were displayed in the 2013 version.

We recently upgraded to Dynamics GP 2018 and the VBA files previously provided do not work with the new version. Is there anyone who has VBA files for the 2018 version that will make the Transaction by Vendor and Transaction by Customer windows to default to sort by document date in descending order?

If anyone has these files and is willing to e-mail them to me, please let me know and I'll provide my e-mail address.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

I just set up both inquiry windows and tested them and they work. Drop me an email and I will forward the code over to you.

That should not be too hard to recreate. The VBA code simply has to set the default by sequence to date and order to descending. I will play around with this tonight to see if I can get it to work for GP 2018.

No.  The original VBA files were created for the 2013 version.  They do not work for the 2018 version which we are using now.  I think it's because the windows in the 2018 window have a sort field that was absent on the 2013 version.

Are you using the same DYNAMICS.VBA file as before? I am wondering if someone had also added another index to the transaction tables to get the list in descending order. Feel free to email me your old DYNAMICS.VBA file and I will take a look at it.
