Journal transaction listing from Solomon

I have been asked by our auditors to provide a full transaction listing for the year which includes the person who has posted the journal. I have ran into a number of issues.

My first approach as to run a Quick Query---> General Ledger--->Journal Transactions report. I attempted to add in the columns UserID and Fiscal year however each time I do this the report refreshes to the default lay-out and does not pull in these columns. Secondly the listing does not balance.

I have tried to go through the Quick Query Viewer module in administration and used the 'QQ_GLTran' report which I think is the skeleton report for the Journal transaction report. The Drs and Crs in this report did not net off to NIL so I cannot be sure that this is a full transaction listing which I have pulled off.

Is there a resolution to either of the issues above or does anyone know of an alternate way to pull off a full transaction listing.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback.

I think you are right that I have an access rights issue on the QQ screen. The QQ_GLTran is the screen where I had success.  I have now managed to pull off the reports but I did have a couple of un-balanced journals which looks to be a bug.

    Thanks

    Craig

I have the same issue with the Quick Query on GL Journals. You cannot add columns even though they are available.

I also noticed a discrepancy after exporting to Excel. My row count in QQ was 16219 but only 15730 rows were created.

Also a couple of rows gow "scrambled",

The QQ viewer seems to suffer from a couple of bugs which need addressing.

If you have read rights to the data, I suggest creating a spreadsheet with a direct link to the QQ_GLTran view.

That will bypass the viewer and will allow you to see all the columns in the view
