NAV number series setting won't change automatically to 2020 in Navision 2018

Hi,

I have a user who was doing accounting realize that in Navision 2018, it stop auto generating the year 2020 in Payment Journal Manual check and in Accounting Periods. She has to create herself, which I understand from her, it was usually auto populated.

Please advise where I can check to support her as I'm still new to Navision.

Hello,

The reason why No. Series aren't incremented automatically for 2020 is because you have to create the Nos Series Line for this year.

In fact each year you need to increment a new line at No Series for the new year.

If you wish you are also able to create already the No. Series Lines for upper years too, system always take in account system date or work date to pick the right No. Series to use on flows processes for the year you are working.

Taken per base the sample you share the data that you need to update at that particular No Series Line will be:

Starting Date= 01/01/2020

Starting No. = MC20200001

Ending No. = MC20209999

I would advise you to take a look at all No. Series Lines in order to update the lines with the new No. Series to use in 2020.
