Generate Description/Search name for Product Variants

Dear all,

the constraint-based configuration in Dynamics AX 2012 R3 creates product variants, based on the product master. However, the variant IDs are just numbers, that doesnt tell much when looking on them. By creating the variants in advance, it is also possible to create variant descriptions, however, the description is just the variant number sequence.

Is there any solution that the product variant name/description is being generated based on the configuration model? I also dont want to create all variants in advance...
