Required country lookup field issue

We are having rare scenarios where users are submitting forms without providing the country selection, even though this is a required field for ALL of our forms. The marketing field is a lookup field. We have not been able to replicate it as it doesn't allow us to submit (since it is required). Could there be a way around this required field or data being lost in the MSD CRM 365? We are currently using the outbound marketing forms and want to see if someone has experienced this issue.

    Hello JZ-13040417-0,

Users submitting forms without the required "Country" field is likely due to bypassed client-side validation. Potential causes:

    1. Browser Issues/Rendering: JavaScript errors, outdated/incompatible browsers, or incomplete loading might prevent validation.
    2. Manual Manipulation: Advanced users could disable JavaScript or modify form HTML to remove the "required" attribute.
    3. External Submission: Unlikely for standard users, but direct submission bypassing the form could ignore requirements.
    4. Customizations/Integrations: Conflicting custom JavaScript or external integrations might interfere with validation.
    5. Lookup Field (Less Likely): Unusual behavior in the "Marketing field" lookup could indirectly affect "Country."

    6.

    Troubleshooting:

    1. Browser Dev Tools: Monitor Console for JS errors and Network tab for submitted data.
    2. Form Configuration: Verify "Country" is marked "Required" in Dynamics 365 Marketing. Review custom JS.
    3. Cross-Browser/Device Testing: Check if the issue is specific to certain environments.
    4. Submission Insights: Look for patterns in submissions missing "Country."
    5. Server-Side Validation (Crucial): Implement workflows/plugins to validate "Country" on the server and prevent incomplete records. Log errors.
    6. Custom Validation: Explore "Field is valid" for more robust client-side checks.
    7. Data Loss Investigation: See how Dynamics 365 processes submissions with missing data.
    8. Review Recent Changes: Identify any recent deployments that might have introduced the issue.

    9.

Focus on client-side validation failures and implement server-side validation as a safeguard against data loss. Monitor user environments and form submissions for clues.
