RSS Feeds, adding to timeline of account and setting up a new lead

Hi all,

We currently use Feeder to run our RSS feeds with an email going to outlook inboxes. Does anyone know if it is possible to set up RSS feeds on an Account in Dynamics 365 so it shows on the timeline or somewhere else within the record.

Also would it be possible to set up a lead automatically when these feeds come through?

If both of the above are possible, can we set up a workflow that emails individual users who know that account when a feed come through or a lead is set up?

Thanks

    Hi,

I'm a little confused as to what you're wanting to do.  Is it that you want to create an activity record on the Account Activity Timeline when an RSS event happens?  If so, this is possible using a Power Automate Flow with the RSS connector.  So, you would start with your feed URI and then a CUD action for the dataverse entity/table you want to target (Accounts according to your question).

And, IF I understand your second question correctly, in terms of creating a new record for the Lead entity from an RSS feed, you can certainly do that as well.  Keep in mind that Leads and Accounts don't have a direct relationship.  Contacts and Accounts have a relationship.  In the Lead entity the "Company" field is what gets converted to an Account record through the out of the box BPF of converting a Lead to a Contact.  But you can certainly build your own BPF and conversion workflow to create a Lead from the Account record using the RSS event activity as the trigger.

I'm afraid I'm completely lost on your 3rd question.  Don't understand it.
