Slow loading forms following update to CRM 2015 Rollup 1 Online

Hi,

We were upgraded to Roll-up 1 a couple of days ago by Microsoft and since then we have noticed a real degradation in the performance of forms loading. It's not every time a form loads, perhaps 1 in 5 times, but it can take up to 2 minutes to load a standard form. It is not limited by entity, it affects all of them.

We are getting the same issue in the office and at users homes, ruling out internet / firewall issues.

Has anyone seen this and aware of a way to resolve?

Thanks in anticipation.

Will

we are seeing the same thing.  It's beyond frustrating!  sometimes takes up to 2 minutes to load one form.

    Hi Steady,

In MS CRM 2015 Ur 1, there is a new form rendering engine, you can switch back to the previous form rendering mode. This setting can be found under Settings -> Administration -> System Settings -> General. Select “Yes” under “Use legacy form rendering” to enable this mode for all users.

Is this the New Rendering Page Engine that is supposed to increase performance?  I was looking forward to the CRM 2016 release for On premise, to take advantage of it.

Any updates on this engine and the effect in real life?

    thank you

We also had major performance issue after 2015 Update 1.   Our network team ran tracert tool and found that the latency was inside Microsoft network.  It turned out that Microsoft moved our instance to a different data center which is the other side of the country.  They are in the process of moving our instance back.

We didn't see any performance improvement, in fact the reverse in some instances. We also found that the new engine is not compatible with Windows Edge, the new browser shipped with Windows 10. I'm sure they will fix that, but have not done yet.
