INVENTORY RECONCILIATION

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I made an Inventory Transaction Entry to take out a serialized item.  The IV00200 table reflects the item as sold (SERLNSLD=1). If you do an inquiry on the item it shows that item gone, however, if I run Reconcile for that item, the reconciliation marks the record as unsold (SERLNSLD=0) in IV00200 and puts it back into "On Hand".  Anyone have any ideas on why this would be happening?

Could you please tell me what version of GP you are running?

    I'll give this a try.

    thanks,

    Tim.

No, there were no Sales Trx involved.  I added an inventory item thru adjustments and then did a negative adjustment to take it out. I found a similar post awhile back.  It appears to be a bug.  If there is a PO receiving it is OK but if it's only an adjustment, the reconciliation puts it back in "On Hand".

The sales record must be corrupted?

    Check your SOP10201 table,

    SELECT SERLTNUM

    ,POSTED

    FROM sop10201

    WHERE QTYTYPE = 1

    AND ITEMNMBR = '{your item}'

For the sales order line combination that the item was sold on, does it have a corresponding line for the serial number, and is it marked as POSTED.

I suspect one of those two will not be the case.

Thus inventory rec is simply putting it back into stock as I can't see a sale for that serial.

Don't play with the database unless you are confident and have backups, but you could fix it there...

    Tim.
