Hi there, i am using MS Dynamics GP 2013 R2 version. I have all the available modules listed in Dynamics>>Administration>>Setup>.Registration, the Human Resource module is available as well in that list but is unchecked. My question is that does HR module is covered in my package as it is available in my modules list in registration and should i check the HR option and can use it as my consultant has told me that HR module is not being covered in my package but there is option available to use HR module as far as i can understand.

    Hi Nauman,

You posted the question in the Dynamics 365 Human Resources forum which is not related to HR features in GP. Let me move this question to the GP forum.

Did you ever upgrade to the GP Perpetual license? If so, HR should work. If you are on the old module based scheme then it will not. Have your partner tell you which license you own. You can also log into CustomerSource and find out on your own.

You can also look under Help > About Microsoft Dynamics GP... > Options, and look at the list of registered modules to see if Human Resources has a check-mark next to it or not. If not, then the registration keys may not be setup to provide it.

    Thanks

Derek - Richard in the original post Malikx says “his consultant said it was not covered on license”

Correct me if wrong - but just because the module is listed in registration does not make it available by simply clicking on the box

First of all the likely situation is there is no HR code loaded

Second just turning it on does not set up and configure HR

Malikx you will need assistance from consultant to get this module configured and from the way I am reading you will need to upgrade to at least GP2013 Perpetual as noted by Richard

    Good luck

Right, just being listed under Registration doesn't automatically make it available to use, that's why I mentioned more the list under Help > About Microsoft Dynamics GP... > Options, then in the list of modules, it'll show which modules and features the registration keys entered make available.

As mentioned, if HR isn't made available from the registration keys, then you would need to add the module and generate new registration keys making that feature available for use in Dynamics GP.

    Thanks
