BC Cloud - Delete the data on fast or quick

Hi,
 
One of our clients is using a Retention Policy to delete the data in BC Cloud. However, using the Retention Policy is taking too much time to delete the data from tables and even impact system performance. Their database size is more than 500 GB.
 
I am not sure if Microsoft provided any better option to delete data from the BC cloud. BC on-premise we can delete the data from SQL and I think that is too fast. 
 
Please let me know if anyone has any solutions or suggestions for how to optimise the data deletion process so we can delete the data too fast.

    What table are you trying to delete data from? If its the change log entries, which is a common one, you can use report 510 in the job queue instead.

    What I have done is a small development that deletes the lines by applying a commit, so that the process can really be deleted and executed by the job queue daily during non-working hours.
