How to mass upload/update voyages, po lines, actuals ...etc in the D365 Landed cost module?
The sheer amount of inbound voyages/PO lines for our organization makes manual input a hell of a workload. So far I have not yet come across any tool/technique which would facilitate easier data upload/update.
For example, I have not seen an intercompany setup which would feed outbound ASN from another organziation into a voyage at the Landed cost module. Nor does there seem to be any Excel data connector available to copy-paste and load via Excel. I am starting up a test to see if we could auto-create voyages via the data entities, but this is going a bit slow due to internal obstacles.
Does anybody have any ideas/experience how to input/update data in the Landed cost module, other than manually doing this via the D365 interface?
Thank you for sharing!
Koen
Many of the larger freight forwarding companies have EDI setups that can feed the ASN shipment data such that the voyage can be automatically created, and then updated as desired. (K&N is one example). This would be an enhancement, but I have worked with a client in the past that successfully did this. Check with your freight forwarder on the possibility. (And at least now many of the Landed Cost data entity tables exist and are open).
Dear Brittany,
Thank you for your suggestion, really appreciate it.
I have done some testing and it seems that the Landed Cost module is possibly setup a bit differently ... I cannot make the copy-paste work in any of the possible tables there.
I can make it work in for example an item arrival journal.
For now it seems that the only way forward would be via the data entities and see if/how these allow for mass update of data (via PowerAutomate).
Thank you,
Koen
Hi Koen!!
There is a feature that is available in D365 that if enabled, allows you to copy and paste from Excel into forms within D365. If you export the form into Excel, you can add the data you need, and then paste it back into D365. This might be a good solution for you. Lauren Wooll from my team wrote a blog post that may be very helpful to learn the functionality.

A power automate integration may also be helpful.
Let me know if the copy/paste functionality helps you!
