[Moved from title by moderator.]

Tab: Team Foundation Server

URL: http://tfs:8080/tfs/###/###_ax2012 - valid and I can open via IE.

Proj name: DAX - input any value as I understand

Branch: Branch - folder exists on AOS server

App root: Root - folder exists on AOS server.

validation throw error on that line:

......

tfsConnectionManagerProxy = new Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Framework.TeamFoundationServerFacade.ConnectionManagerProxy(tfsServer, tfsProject);

.....

    catch (Exception::Internal)
    {
        infolog.clear(infologLine);
        this.processTfsException();
    }

    I don't know what those ### represent, so I can't really say whether your URL is correct or not. It should contain the project collection name (= DefaultCollection if you don't use named collections).

    ### - commercial info. I think url is correct, I can open tfs via brawser.

    Could you say more detail about collection name. Where and how can I defind it?

    Browsers (and some clients) don't require any collection name if you use the default collection, but such URL won't work in AX. Therefore it's not enough to say that it works in a browser.

    For example, I use URL https://myaccount.visualstudio.com/defaultcollection.

    It seems that XXX_AX2012 is the name of your team project. That's wrong. Remove it, use the base URL (with team collection)  and put your project name to the Team Foundation project name field in AX. Your understanding that this field is useless isn't correct.

    Regarding your parameters, these folders must exist on developer boxes, not on the AOS server. Of course, it doesn't make a difference if you have everything on the same box. But you would get an error as soon as AX will try to find a workspace, so you would easily find it out.
