Error message: " a get/change first operation on table 'CU_Triggers' cannot find the table " when I exit dynamics GP 2015 R2

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I just installed Dynamics GP 2015.  When I exit the application now I get the following error message:  " a get/change first operation on table 'CU_Triggers' cannot find the table ".  I searched for an answer and there are many posts that are similar, but seem to reference a different table.  Everything seems to run fine in the application.  I suspect this has something to do with SQL Server, but I'm at a loss.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly David!  After reading your response, I did some research on the temp folder.  Based on this article, www.pcworld.com/.../how-to-clean-your-windows-temp-folder.html, I shut down, rebooted, and went immediately to the temp folder.  I sorted it's contents by date and deleted everything not dated today, skipping those files Windows indicated were being used.  Fixed and no problems.  I wouldn't have figured this one out on my own.  Thanks again!

    Hi

I am pretty sure that the SQL Profiler is not going to help you with this table.

I suspect that this table is a ctree memory table used to track dexterity triggers. Memory tables are stored in the current workstation's temp folder in a TNT* folder.

If you have GP Power Tools, you can use the Resource Information window in Table mode and enter CU_Triggers into the Technical name field. GPPT will then identify the table and the product it is from and the type (confirming if it is a memory table).

I have seen issues with ctree temp or ctree memory tables caused by clearing the temp folder while GP is open and also when antivirus programs interfere with the files.

I looked for the table on my system, but it is not in any of the products I have installed.

    Hope this helps

    David

You may want to run SQL Profiler to monitor where this is being generated.
