Is there a way I can add a notification on GL Account in business central for instance, a petty cash account, such that, every time the balance goes below a certain amount, it automatically notifies a user.

Not with the system standard tools.
You can create an external process for that - for example using Power Automate or if You use On-prem version, You can write a script that checks the balance each 30-60min, and based on balance either sends an e-mail or does nothing.

Hii There ,

as per requirement you can create a function using that you use calc field in that if Balance is less then Amount You will send mail/Notification for that you can create using power automate or AL As per your requirement.

Hello,

Business Central does not offer a built-in feature to automatically notify users when a GL account balance (like petty cash) drops below a certain threshold.

However, you can achieve this functionality using a combination of Power Automate and Business Central APIs.

It's not standard, but you can rely on a Power Automate flow using a standard API, or a custom exemption that checks via job queue.

Business Central does not provide a standard feature to trigger notifications based on G/L account balances. However, you can achieve this by creating a custom workflow or a scheduled Power Automate flow. The flow can run periodically, check the balance of the petty cash G/L account using the G/L Entry or G/L Account data, and send an email or Teams notification if the balance falls below a defined threshold.

Business Central doesn’t have built-in notifications for low G/L account balances, but this can be achieved using a simple customization or Power Automate flow.
