How can DimensionAttributeValueCombination be found for main account, business unit, and department dimensions as string values?

Hi solutionx,
Maybe you want to get DimensionAttributeValueSet? In this case you can use DimensionAttributeValueSetStorage class.
Hi Ievgen,
Would like to be able to find the DimensionAttributeValueCombination record without knowing the Id, using the string values for dimensions. Thanks
You can use
AxdDimensionUtil::getDefaultAccountId(stringValues) to get the ledgerDimension. LedgerDimension is the RecId of DimensionAttributeValueCombination table.
Below is an example for the budget planning ledger dimension.

Hi Dinkar,
Please provide only valuable information in your answers. Importing item dimension groups has nothing to do with the original question. Your contributions will be monitored to see if it will be considered as a spam bot. So please read the question carefully and stop sending replies with links to one certain website.
Just to be sure, have you referred to the whitepaper on Dimensions?

this is the method:

Hi,
Can ask your advice whether it is true that DimensionAttributeValueCombination holds data already posted to G/L while DimensionAttributeValueSet is hols data not yet posted to G/L ?
If that so, once some transaction with default dimension key in is posted, the record from DimensionAttributeValueSet will be moved to DimensionAttributeValueCombination ? These two table will not have the same data, right ?
Again, if so, is there a built-in view that holds these two table, some kind of join table so we do not need to look at two table (if we did not know data is posted / invoiced or not)
Thanks in advance,
