No. Series for Ship to Address Card Creation

Hello,

It is my understanding that today BC is not set up for automatic no series creation for ship to addresses. Does anyone have any recommendations on how they are keeping track of the last ship to # created so you do not have duplicate ship to codes in Business Central? Or does anyone have anything they have done to modify BC to help them keep track or create automatic no. series, please let me know. Thanks for all your help in advance!

Thank you

As far as I know, this needs to be customized. Hopefully the information below can give you some hints.
How to use the standard No. Series on custom data in Dynamics 365 Business Central (Automatic Number Series)

Dynamics 365 Business Central: New “No. Series” module (Codeunit ‘NoSeriesManagement’ is marked for removal. Reason: Please use the “No. Series” and “No. Series – Batch” codeunits instead)

    Thanks.

The most common approach I've seen is using the first few characters of the ship-to name as the code, rather than following a typical alphanumeric numbering system.

If you wanted, you could modify the system to implement a numbering series that automatically assigns a code to each ship-to card based on a number series.
