Not able to copy security roles

Hi there,

I'm not able to create new security role by copying from existing security role, I do not have permission. I tried with user which is Administrator, and also with user who has System Administrator security role.

When I try to create new security role, I'm able to perform that action without any issue, and my problem is assigning existing security roles also.

How to approach this issue ?

    Hi CTModule,

This could be a Security Role issue, but it is strange that users with the System Administrator security role cannot perform these actions.

Are you receiving an error message when attempting to perform these actions? If so, download the log file and post it here so we can help you to pinpoint the issue.

There is a business unit dropdown above the roles view. Change it to the root business unit. That might be your problem.

Nicolas, do you mean, that my business unit is not parent unit ? I checked that, and organization that I'm operating is parent unit.

I have system customizer role assigned aslo. Should I have only that role, or I can have it with System administrator role as well ?

I to am having this issue when trying to copy an OTB role. I have checked the role an have noted that the Data Performance Dashboard is set to 'None'. (This was an issue that supposedly corrected this in the past, where this line (under Core Records) was set to 'User')). Does anyone have an update on why this happens?

    Thanks.

I had to create a ticket with MSFT. They ran a script against my environment which updated a table. Then all was fine. I'm sorry I do not know the table they adjusted.
