Can you elaborate this issue ? Can you check the setup logs and send us the error from there?

    start -> %appdata%--> Microsoft --> MSCRM

This issue occurs due corrupt metadata in IIS.

    You can try this

    1. Uninstall IIS (remove role from the server)

    2. Uninstall .NET Framework(s)

    3. Install IIS (add the role again after restart of the server)

    4. Install .NET Framework(s)

    Hello Rajashekhar,

    Can you do the following

Open IIS Manager and navigate to the site or application where you want to configure parent paths, and then-double click the ASP feature.

Try Setting Enable Parent Paths Value to True or False and try your luck in accessing.

Please perform an IIS Reset after you do the change and let me know your findings.

    Regards

    Varun Sukheeja

Please go to IIS > Sites > Your Dynamics CRM Site > "Basic Settings" on the right side vertical menu. Here please test for authentication and authorization  -

    1. For "Connect as" please select "Application user ...."

    2. Now click "Test Setting" button to see what happens.

It may be issues with you domain application accounts.

    Hi

we received the below, we don't understand how the same account does not have access which we have used to install CRM, any ideas how to resolve the below.

The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the application pool identity has Read access to the physical path. If this server is joined to a domain, and the application pool identity is Network Service or Local System, verify that <domain>\<computer_name>$ has Read access to the physical path. Then test these settings again.

    Thanks

    Rajasekhar

This is because the IIS URL Rewrite module is not rewriting the URL correctly. CRM creates rules within the rewrite module; one of these rules is to load the handlers/FederationMetadata.ashx when Federation Metadata/2007-06/FederationMetadata.xml is requested.

We have to Check if the URL Re-write module is available in IIS on the CRM website and has the rule that rewrites the URL to handlers/FederationMetadata.ashx when Federation Metadata/2007-06/FederationMetadata.xml is requested.

If the re-writing rule is present then URL Re-write is corrupt and we need to re-install it.

    Navigate to Add/Remove programs

Identify Microsoft URL Rewrite Module and uninstall it

To re-install the module locate rewrite_1.1_amd64_rtw file in the CRM 2011 Server installation folder “UrlRewriteModule”

If re-installing URL Re-write does not resolve the issue then this could be due to Reserved URL namespaces. To check if there are any errors run the following command on the CRM server.

    a. Using command prompt run the following Command:

    NETSH HTTP SHOW URLACL

    b. The above should show us all the reserved namespaces.

    c. If any return with an error as shown below, then follow to step d:

    Reserved URL: https://+:444/adfs/services/

    Can't lookup sid, Error: 1332

    SDDL: D:(A;;GA;;;S-1-5-80-2246541699-21809830-3603976364-117610243- 975697593)

    d. Run the similar commands to delete reserved namespaces with errors:

    netsh http delete urlacl url=https://+:444/adfs/services/

NOTE: The URL’s in step d must be changed according to what we receive in step c.

    e. Reset IIS on the CRM server
