Duplication Detection Problem

Good Day! Hi, Please Help Me, I'm having a problem in the detection of duplicate record.

I already created a detection rule, and its working, However. When for example I've created a record in Accounts.

I fill up for example abc company in the account field. and fill up the remaining fields. After that I saved the record. I'd like test if the detection rule is working. So I've created another record in account using again the abc company. Yes it works. It detects the duplication of the records but I tried to keep the record into saving and stiill it save when I click save. My question is there a way that I can created a detection rule to detect the duplication of records and also don't allow users to create another record if the system detect a duplication of record. Please help your help is well appreciated. Thanks. Godbless. I need it so badly coz i'm having my deadline. Thanks in advance.

    You have to use client script to do that or using the plugin to check the duplicate.

    Thanks you for the reply Sir but I'm afraid I can't do it using this code. I'm not so familiar with this codes yet. Is there any other way? FYI also I'm using MS Dynamics CRM Online 2016.

    Hi Lei Dy,

    Just read these comment as my feedback your question. No any more.

    MS CRM give customer a great tool as OOB and xRM platform for customization.

    Of course, OOB can not help enterprise any things, in this case, you have to think about xRM.

    When you work with MS CRM, you cannot say that you cannot code and want a solution without coding. I had read many post by you and many time, I see that you had confirmed that you cannot code, we know it but in this case, for examples, your requirement just can implement by coding, how can we answer you different ways? Or my limitation knowledge and I just know this solution, how can I answer you different way? Please wait for other member of community.

    To Avoid create duplicate record you need to write plugin.Plz check with below links:

    Forget the code. Configure an Alternate Key for the Account entity. In your case that could be as simple as using Company Name.

    This will enforce the "no duplicates" at a platform level.

    However, "ABC Company" and "ABC Company Plc" and "ABC Copmany" (<mis-spelled) would not be matches due to their differences, so this alone will not prevent duplicates, but will prevent the worst cases.

    You can configure more than one alternate key, so you could use other fields as well, or a combination of fields (as concatenation aka composite). For example you could use Main Phone and Address1_Street1 and Address1_City and Address1_Postcode, so that together they form a unique "fingerprint" for a company.
