Masked field in Free Text Invoice for Credit Card numbers

Hi,

While importing Free Text invoices, we assign a Credit Card Numbers to a string field. I've not been able to locate information on masking this field for certain roles and allowing access for other roles. Or a way to assign a password to allow anyone to view the unmasked credit card number that has the password. 

PCI compliance rules dictate that the cc number should be encrypted even in the source table. Is it possible to have an encrypted field in the CustInvoiceLine table?

    You can definitely encrypt fields in AX 2012. You definitely want to encrypt credit card numbers.

    Here is a great blog article on how to do this:

    AX has a set of classes that start with 'CreditCard...' that you can comb through to see how AX has handled credit cards in a PCI compliant way.
