accounts receivable reconcile to GL beginning balance difference

HI THERE ALL EXPERTS, i almost sort out the issue now, there is nothing wrong only my beginning balances is the figures the difference comes from. This is my AR - advance received (146,099.73-95,994.83 = 50,104.90) which is correctly entered. now how to clear this difference in the reports. can any one give solutions to this.

Total RM Beginning Balance:	50,104.90	Total RM Ending Balance:	109,754.90
Total GL Beginning Balance:	146,099.73	Total GL Ending Balance:	109,754.90
Difference:	(95,994.83)	Difference:	(0.00)

Hi,

In order to get the best information using the reconcile utility it is imperative that you start with a balanced subledger. Did the two ever balance? If they did, I would run the reconcile routine from that date and include all of the transactions since that period. If the accounts were never in balance, your only real choice is to create a journal entry. You can try to trace each transaction through the system, but that's quite a challenge. One thing you can do is to look at all of the entries in the AR account and make sure nobody entered a transaction directly to the GL AR account.
