Enter/Match Partial Cost Modification in GP 2013

I have made a post on the community recently this year about an issue which causes a variance between inventory module and general ledger in Dynamics GP when an enter/match partial cost modification is applied from the Purchasing Module. The case is a result of different GP modules' behaviors and it is thoroughly illustrated in the post below;

GP2010 SP4 “Issue Resolved” - Enter/Match Partial Cost Modification

Fortunately, the issue was resolved with the release of the latest GP2010 Service Pack 4. In this essence, I am sharing this post so that hopefully I could shed a light on further GP version, GP 2013. As the case is still open.

    Hi, I checked on this particular issue and the update has been included with the GP2013 Year End tax release as a cumulative release.

    Warm Regards,

    I will bet you have revalue inventory checked.  This box creates many problems, not just this one.  UnCheck the box and let cost variances go directly to PPV

    Absolutely right Mr. Richard, the "Revalue Inventory" is checked, and that's where the whole issue is represented.

    I can confirm that further problems could occur with the inventory revaluation, which could be a bit debatable. But the enter/match partial cost modification is a normal behavior that should be well considered by the system. Fortunately, the latest GP 2010 SP4 release included a hot fix for the issue described above.

    Thanks,

    Your feedback is highly appreciated.
