Set Owner Id to null with business rules

Hi,

I'm trying to set the Owner Id to null when creating a record from a custom entity.

I'm using condition: If CretaedOn does not contain data

and action is: Set Owner Id to Modified by

as I suppose Modified by does not contain data either.

This doesn't work as it it, but if I change the action to set up a date time field, it works.

Any trick to do this with a business unit rule? If so, I'm thinning JS would be any remaining option?

Just found something else that effects this ....

I had the created by and created on fields in the footer of the form.

Without them showing in the footer strangely it didn't work. But added them back in and then worked again!

Really? I have Owner Id in the body, and business rules is set to Entity, but it's not working. (I have updated the label to Owner Id to Performed by)

I have tested this and had it work!

I had a condition that said created on does not contain data.

Then  set owner to created by

An important point was to ensure the owner field is in the main body of the form. If it is only in the header then the business rule doesn't work!
