Why are some sandboxes not "offered" the update to the latest version?

Hi all,

I have three sandbox environments alongside one production.

Two of the sandboxes are on the latest code version but the 3rd is not for some time now (many days). It does not have anything in the /Available Update Version/ and re-start did not trigger it either. No notifications related to failed updates or other.

One sandbox (on latest version) have the same custom code as the one that is not offered the update.

How to get that latest MS code on there?

////

Best regards,
Lars

Hi, according to Microsoft, these environments are stored in different clusters, and the update time of each cluster is different, which means that the update notification time in the same tenant is also different. If you are in a hurry, you can copy other 23.3 environments and recreate the Sandbox.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

Can you check the sum of database capacity usage across all the environments, since based on the Microsoft Document, by default, Business Central customers can use up to 80 GB of database storage capacity across all their environments (production and sandbox). This limit means that the sum of database capacity usage across all of their environments must not exceed 80 GB. If a tenant exceeds this limit, Microsoft restricts administrative actions that create additional environments. Exceeding the storage limit will not interrupt transaction processing within the existing environments.
    The reference document:

    Hi all!

Thanks for all the feedback related to my issue!

    * We do not have more PROD nor SANDBOX environments than allowed. As well we are well under capacity for the total.
    * I cannot re-create the sandbox since we have a lot of test data, integrations etc. running there

All in all I will be patient to see if the last one is offered the update soon.
    Thanks again.

    Best regards,
    Lars

    Hi all,
I have now updated a lot of environments and it seems that a restart might help to trigger an update control for the environment. I got updates offered shortly after restarts.

    Best regards,
    Lars
