Notifify the timeshaat approver a timesheet is submitted

Hi everyone,

I  want to send an email to the timesheet approver when a timesheet is submitted.

So the approver knows he/she has to approve the timesheet in Business central.

I have tried different things, but I can't seem the find something that works.

So a tutorial or a step by step plan would be helpful.

I hope someone can help me.

I'm not a developer, so I can't write or edit code.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    So far as I know, such a out-of-box feature is not exist in BC. I can't find a document of e-mail feature for timesheet in Microsoft docs.
    Could you please provide some hint (docs or settings page screenshot). I think the feature is useful, so I'd like to research more.

    It is something which would require some development. The standard api page doesn’t hold the required detail on approver. So a new version of that is required, then a webhook has to be generated. I personally prefer the idea of an event trigger in BC itself calling a Power Automate flow or Logic App. Then you can have a notification created in a variety of apps - outlook, teams or sms

    I’d suggest working with your Microsoft partner. Community support will only go so far if development is needed.
