I need to convince my business to upgrade from 8.1 to 9.0. Can I get some pointers wrt functionalities differentiator?

I have tried looking for explicit documentation for differences between version 8.1 and 9.0 however it turns out we don’t really have one .
Ideally to understand the changes and the differences we just can focus on the new features that are part of CRM version 9.0 I have included the link below

One of the biggest changes that has occurred is the change in the Object model and the API reference you can read through the below link to get details . We also brought in a new interface called the Unified User Interface
