Exporting documents from Dynamics to SharePoint and/or Fileshare

We are building a new Dynamics environment, and would like to export scanned documents on a regular interval from the database to another location (SharePoint/fileshare). We know of the document management capabilities within Dynamics, which allow storing files directly to a SharePoint library. But we would like to know if there is a possibility to copy files from dynamics to another location while leaving the files in the database. I have looked hard for any tooling, but could only find a tool that allows copying/moving mail and note attachment to another location. Does anyone know of tooling/scripts/code that enables us to copy all scanned files from dynamics to another location?

If I understand correctly, you already have CRM integrated with SharePoint for document management but also need to push all the CRM documents to a secondary SharePoint location on a timely basis, much like taking a backup. I have done this in the past using scribe web services adapter. Scribe is a Microsoft supported tool for data migration/integration. Try to visit the below links to get some basic idea of what the tool is and how it would work in this scenario:

Dear Mr Khanna, Thanks for your answer, which could be a solution. If I understand correctly, Scribe is able to connect to most databases (including SharePoint) and (using the proper credentials) is able to extract the information to be used on another location. I haven’t figured out yet if and how to extract documents from the SharePoint environment, but need to perform this in our DEV environment. And by the way, we haven’t enabled the SharePoint document management connection yet, but we would like to do that in the near future. We are worried that already uploaded files in the SharePoint environment will stay in the database and not be transferred to SharePoint. But perhaps Scribe can help us with that problem.  Best Regards, Sander de Boer
