reports by global dimensions

Hi,

we have set up global dimensions and 1 of them is "Department/category" so we can start to track sales and inventory via set departments.

I would like to run

Inventory valuation per "department" global dimension

and sales reports per period on the same dimensions.

i can see where i can use the standard inventory valuation report and select each dimension 1 by 1 but this takes a lot of time to do so. Does anyone know who i can run a report on

Current inventory (or date selected) and show total value and then value per global dimension and that same again for sales?
