Pricing managgement. Price component codes setup

Posted on by 35
Hi Experts!
I am trying to configurate /Pricing management/ module from the very begginig on the standard ITCO Organization and /Price component codes/ form look wierd.
I've created a price componen code /Base price - inventory price/ and there is only one field I can customize here - Price component. Any other fields are disabled (doesn't matter before or after I saved the record). That's it:

At the same time, if we are looking at the same setting in another Organization (USMF) which has pre-configurated (by Microsoft) component codes it looks different for the same price component. But still, I can not change it, because anything disabled:

Has somebody configurate this? What the reason it could be? I've already check all parameters, they are the same.

    Thanks for everyone.
AsAnthony Warnholtz wrote below - everything works without any additional configurations. It's enough just to create a component code for the Base price.

    Best regards,

    Hi Peter,

This issue might be due to some configurations, please check whether your user account has the necessary security roles and permissions to modify Price Component Codes. Further please also check if there are any workflows or data entities associated with the Price Component Codes. This issue may also arise if data in the system that are preventing the modification of the Price Component Codes. Ensure that there are no data-related errors or inconsistencies. However, if there are any customizations (extensions or modifications) applied to the Price Component Codes form or related entities. Customizations might introduce constraints on certain fields. There could be specific configurations that control the behavior of the Price Component Codes form.
Hope this answer will help you to resolve your issue.

    Regards
    Fasih

    Hi Peter,
I've reached out to Microsoft and they confirmed this is only a demo data issue. You cannot use Header and Line attribute groups in any of the base price Price Component Codes.
There are no future design change planned here either.

Your first screenshot is all the setup required for a base price PCC.
Base prices are set at Site level. The only attributes used in the base price calculation are line attributes used in price term agreements.

    Hi,

since this feature is in Preview mode so there might be chances that it is specific to certain country though it is not mentioned explicitly on MS docs. The problem you are facing is little weird because once you enable the feature you may setup the Price component codes.

    Hi,
It seems like the issue you are facing with the /Price component codes/ form in the Dynamics 365 F&O Pricing management module might be related to the permissions or configuration settings within the ITCO organization. The fields being disabled could be due to restrictions set up at the organization level or a specific user security role. It's worth checking the user roles and permissions to ensure that you have the necessary access rights to configure price component codes within the ITCO organization. Additionally, verifying the setup and configuration of the Pricing management module for the ITCO organization could also provide insights into the issue.
    Best regards,
    Kevin
