I'm trying to implement a TMS module for a client and I have an issue regarding the weight using the Rate Route Workbench.
The configuration is as follows:
the item is configured with a net weight of 4 g and a volume of 5 cm³.
The physical dimensions units in the inventory and warehouse management parameters are:
- Weight unit: g
- Length unit: cm
- Volume unit: cm³
I've set up the break master to weight with kg as a unit.
I've also set the unit g as a base unit and kg as a system unit, with a unit conversion between g and kg.
Now, the problem is that when I create a sales order with this item, I enter a quantity of 10 and use rate shop. The system calculates the total weight as 40 g (4 g * 10) and does not perform the unit conversion in the Rate Route Workbench screen.
I expected to see the value 0.04 kg because 40 g = 0.04 kg based on my configuration.
Should the weight field in the Rate Route Workbench perform the unit conversion from the item cards, or does it just inherit the value as it is? Or is there something wrong with my configuration?
