Expiration Date in master Planning

Hi,

Do you know if the system can take the expiration date on a lot in his calcul for the purpose of quantity to buy?

For me it's seem to be not but just in case...

    Hi Alix,

    Do you control the item shelf life? If so, there is a parameter in the parameter of the Master plan to switch on the shelf life date. MRP will consider the shelf life of the item batch as available or not.

    Thanks for your answer, i set up to Yes but that doesn't change anything, the system consider my stock as available for the shipment date

    Expiration Date for my lot= 31/07/22

    Needed date of my order= 03/08

    So at the 03/08, my lot is won't be ok but There is no requisition order for the need

    Do you have an idea?

    The scenario you are describing is covered by base AX / D365.  You need to ensure that your item is in an item model group that is FEFO Date controlled with pick criteria "Expiration date".  Your master plan needs to have "Use shelf life dates" ticked to yes.   Make sure your item is in a coverage group that has a coverage code that is not "Manual".

    I know Master Planning can take account of Sellable Days for Sales Orders.

    I would like this logic to apply to Demand Forecast lines, where these are held by Customer.

    Does anybody know whether that is part of D365 please?

    I would be interested in knowing for both the "old" and "new" Master Plan algorithms.
