how can i display a date as the day of the week in a report

You can edit any report to show this.
Open the report in Notepad.
Find the column format of the column date that you interested.
Replace Column Format ="" with "ddd, dd-mm-yy"
Save report using UTF-8 and extension ".qrp" not .txt
This will show Date as Tue, 14-08-18
Note that saving with new file name will keep the original report intact.
