Hello

Is it possible to send emails without adding email accounts through extensions (Microsoft 365, Current User, SMTP) and only configuring the SMTP Mail Setup?

    Hi,

You need to add email accounts in email accounts page since SMTP Mail setup is removed from 20.0 version onwards

If my answer was helpful to you, please verify it so that other users know it worked. Thank you very much

    Hi  Vaishnavi

We are currently running version 18.0 - I would assume we still need to add email accounts if we want to send an email?

    Thanks

    Hi Vaishnavi

It is online, and localization is: US

    Version: US Business Central 18.0

Azure AD tenant: common, Environment: Production (Production)

    Kind Regards

    Hi JacoBosch

The SMTP is completed removed on 20.0 version

But it was marked as removal on 17 version of BC

So you have to add email in email accounts page or else it will give you warning.

But can you tell me how is your Business Central version is still on 18. Microsoft forcefully upgrades the BC version at some point of time.

If my answer was helpful to you, please verify it so that other users know it worked. Thank you very much

    Hi Vaishnavi

That is 'n very good question - I don't have an answer to that. :-\ The problem is, we don't manage the the environment, we only implement certain extensions for the client

    :-)

    Thanks and Regards

    Jaco
