Inside View’s Social Insights window does not size correctly on Account form load

Hi,

Does anyone know what would prevent InsideView’s Social Insights from loading correctly in the Account Information form view? It loads fine in the Account view but is all distorted in the Information view.

I've checked its properties and it is set to display at 100% width, one column - the same in both form layouts. The error is present in multiple browsers and across multiple machines and users. We are running CRM online 2013.

In Internet Explorer: The Social Insight’s window takes up appropriately 1/4 of its available space both horizontally and vertically (top-left with lots of white space left-over). It’s like it’s loaded but not then re-sized to fill 100% of the column width and height. There is a vertical scroll bar but no horizontal scroll bar.

In Chrome: The Social Insights window has scaled horizontally but only takes up 1/4 of its available height. There is a vertical scroll bar but no horizontal scroll bar (although as it is horizontally sized correctly in this instance a horizontal scroll is not required).

Any ideas? I’m not sure whether this is a browser or plug-in problem or a configuration issue and haven’t had any luck trouble-shooting it so far.

Thank you!!

    Hi Chloe,

Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Communities and for the detailed description of the issue. Could you please provide us also a few screenshots from the current behavior to make sure that we fully understand it - preferable one taken from the Account view in IE, one from Account Information form view in IE and the same from Chrome.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Nina,

Thanks for taking the time to look at this. I’ve attached two screen shots below for you, one from Chrome and one from Internet Explorer, showing what the problem is.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Chloe,

Many thanks for providing us the screenshots. I performed the test you did in a vanilla CRM Online organization and got the same behavior in Internet Explorer and a slightly different one in Chrome. Based on these results, I would recommend you to submit a Support Request to CRM Technical Support to further investigate the behavior for the Account Information form view and identify with our team if this is by design or by a product mistake.

Please let us know if this helps and if you require any further information about how to contact CRM Technical Support.

Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Communities

    Hi Nina,

OK, thanks for the investigation and verifying the issue isn't specific to our organisation.  I'll open a ticket and respond here once the issue is resolved.

    Did you find the solution?

    I've got the same issue.

    Hi Abraham,

Thanks for the reminder. I held off logging the ticket as we were in the midst of upgrading to CRM 2013. I thought this might resolve the problem. The upgrade seems to has rectified some of the scaling problems but I've just checked it now, and it still doesn't scale 100% vertically in the Information view.  Is that the same for you?

Now our upgrade is complete I'll log a ticket and see if we can get it fixed.

    Thanks!
