"TX.cab is invalid" error during payroll tax update

Our customer is on GP 2010.  They get the following error during the payroll tax update.

TX.cab is invalid.  The digital signature is invalid or the certificate has expired.  Try to complete the update again.

This happens for both the Automatic or Manual update. What could be the problem?

Did you see my last response about opening a support case? Or you can look on CustomerSource which has the file:

    mbs.microsoft.com/.../TUGP2010

We are having the same problem.  How do we get the TX.sql file?

Looks like there were some issues on our side with this. It seems you only should be randomly getting this as it was a problem with some older servers. I would keep trying and you should get it to work. Otherwise just open a case with support and you shouldn't be charged for this file.

I'm getting the same thing for GP 2013.  I opened up the certificate and sure enough it expires as of 4/14.  I "unblocked" it in properties, and then was able to import the certificate with a new expiration date of 6/17.

The user changed the tables manually.  We didn't try the TX.sql script.  We were hoping to resolve the error so their user could update the tables in GP, without needing an IT person.

Have run the TX.sql file against your GP system database?
