Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Archived)

Send email to account that has no primary contact

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I still in my way to learn about Dynamic CRM.

My apps is like this :

I want to create Company Recruitment simulation in CRM.
I created University A and University B as Account. The idea is collaborate with university for company socialization and recruitment for fresh graduate.
And then I create Marketing List with University A and B as member. I created campaign with this Marketing List, and add campaign activities. There is an option to distribute material with Email.

If I don't define the primary contact of University A and B, where is the mail will be sent?
Can I define email for account only?

    Hi Intan,

Your account form may not be configured to include the emailaddress1 field.

Open the Form Editor (or preferably open the solution you perform customisations and open the Account form).

Drag and drop the Email (emailaddress1) field to the form.  Save and Publish.

You can now use this field to send emails.

Vikas Saxena I'm using Dynamic CRM 2015, and I can't found email address field in Account. Even in list data, the column name is Email (Primary Contact). So the email information take from Primary Contact.

How can I use email address field in Account?

Yes, accounts do have email address fields. The schema name of that field is same for all entities which is "emailaddress1". You just need to create the marketing list of Accounts and distribute a campaign activity with channel type as Email.
