Features available with GP BP using WSS3.0

My company is using Business Portal and Dynamics GP but would like to have all the employees (we also have the HR self service) using the BP for different purposes and to have them interested so we want to use it as our Intranet. We have WSS 3.0 but have no issues switching to MOSS if the features we want can be achieved using MOSS.

So the question is can BP using WSS 3.0 allow the following:

1) Flash or movement in the webparts

2) Updates sent to employees

3) Blogs

4) Events Calendar

5) Document sharing

6) Video streaming

7) Podcasting

We prefer not to use links but to actually have the graphics on the screen or the streaming in a webpart.

Are any of the things listed above possible in BP while using WSS? If not, would MOSS allow the features above with BP?

Would really appreciate any assistance on this.

Thanks for using the newsgroups. Your question is very specific to WSS 3.0. Business Portal simply builds on top of WSS pages, security, etc. and does nothing to limit WSS functionality. In other words, if WSS allows it, Business Portal using WSS allows it.

I can't answer all your questions above, but I do know that WSS supports #2 through alerts and #5 through document libraries. I believe WSS has some calendar functionality (#4), but I'm not very familiar with it.

You may want to search out some WSS specific content to answer your other questions.
