At times we have noticed SQL Profiler running but not showing up in the Processes running. There are limited people knowledgeable of who are capable of running SQL Profiler in-house. Is there a way to identify who is running the SQL Profiler? Is tehre a way to see if someone set a condition to cause SQL Profiler to run based on a condition so it reocurres, etc? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a couple of questions?
(i) If the SQL profiler is not showing up in the Processes running windows, do you have the "show processes from all users" option selected.
(ii) How do you know that the SQL profiler IS running ? How do you detect it if not using the processes window ? Do you know which machine it is running on ?
