you can not find out direct root of error in dynamics crm report ,it always gives general/generic error related to report.
so certain possibilities as per below :
1. Report Data Source Configuration -Connection String,UserName,Password
2. Report FetchXML Query
3. Report Parameter
4. Any Field Expression
