CRM 2013 - How to disable OOB Price Calculation for opportunities - OOBPriceCalculationEnabled is not available

Hello

Recently we have upgraded from CRM 4 to CRM 2013 (through CRM 2011). What we observed is, if any user opening any opportunity record, modified by field is going to updated with value "System" and Modified On field is going to update with current date. This happens for all opportunity and opportunityproduct records. User have not updated anything on that record and just opened it.

I have analysed data and found that CRM is calculating pricing automatically during form load and thats why its creating this issue.

I have my custom fields and my custom logic for pricing calculations and I don't want CRM do calculations. Thats why I have updated default value of "IsRevenueSystemCalculated" field at opportunity entity to 0.

Although CRM is updating data. I want to stop this OOB price calculations because its hitting performance if I have more than 50 products available in opportunity entity.

I found in CRM 2015, we will have "OOBPriceCalculationEnabled" field at organization entity which we can disable. But same is not available in CRM 2013.

Do anyone have any idea how to stop OOB Price Calculations in CRM 2013?

One observation, we do not have TotalLineItemAmount field(and also tax related fields) in CRM 4. SO our all old data contains NULL value in that and when we open any record, before javascript load function starts execution, calculated value getting set in this field.

Try: Settings>Administration>System Settings>Set Pricing Calc Preference>Use System Pricing = No

I don't find this "Set Pricing Calc Preference" option in my System Settings. We are using CRM 2013, SP1, Update Rollup 2. We have also checked in UR3 but its not there. Where can I find this option?

    Sorry - In 2015 it's the System Settings>Sales Tab.

You must also register a plug-in on the CalculatePrice message, provided in the CRM Web services, that contains your custom pricing code.

    1. In 2013 it is likely to be under one of the other tabs in System Settings (unfortunately I don't have a 2013 version to look at).

It's definitely there somewhere as it sets the OOBPriceCalculationEnabled Organization attribute.

    2. Pearse had this suggestion to make in an earlier forum thread:

MAKE SURE IN THE FORECAST INFORMATION THE SYSTEM CALCULATED IS SELECTED

Is there a Forecast Information section/tab (e.g. under system settings)?

    3. There is only one other place it could likely be activated from (and the post above suggests that that doesn't resolve the issue):  Under Opportunity

Change the default value for the revenue field (isrevenuesystemcalculated) from "User Provided" to "System Calculated" or vice versa.

    1. Click Settings, click Customizations, and then click Customize the System.
    2. In the Default Solution, under Components, expand Entities, and then expand Opportunity.
    3. Click Fields.
    4. Locate and double click on the Revenue field (isrevenuesystemcalculated).
    5. Under Type, change the Default Value setting from User Provided to System Calculated (or vice versa).
    6. Click Save and Close.
    7. In the Default Solution, click Opportunity.
    8. Click Publish.

The only other thing I can find is:

http://blog.crmguru.co.uk/2011/11/14/crm-2011-opportunity-revenue-field-is-read-only that suggests that the isrevenuesystemcalculated field is available in 2011 on the Opportunity form and if you change the layout of the form (how the isrevenuesystemcalculated field is displayed e.g. from radio buttons to a drop down list ) it can cause some issues.

    Hello,

Im facing the same problem On CRM Online. I set the "OOBPriceCalculationEnabled" to false using the Administration dialogbox, but the plugin is executed every time when we open an opportunity
