How can I have multiple receiving locations in the same warehouse?

In the clients warehouse there are 5 receiving locations (Inbound 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). When we use the warehouse mobile app to receive, it is received in one default location (default warehouse receipt location) but actually in the warehouse, the items are received in 5 different locations depending on the type of item.

Is there a way I can manipulate the receipt locations of the warehouse?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Abdul,

Do you consider to do some customization?

That would be the last option. I'd like to avoid any customization as much as possible.

You can create a second pick/put pair on the work template, so when you receive the purchase order it goes into a staging location and then the user would put it into the correct dock location during the next step. Its an extra scan/confirmation, but should accomplish what you are looking for.

Depends on what you are exactly trying to achieve, but the answer is, yes.

My favorite solution would be using appointments to manage multiple receiving locations.

Matt's suggest answer is a pretty common approach. The default receiving location is essentially a virtual location to register goods as arrived in the warehouse. You can put from there to any location, so have different rules or allow users to scan which "receiving" location they are putting to. From there, you could have a second pick/put pair in the work template to do the actual putaway. Or you could leave the PO work template to put to the staging receiving location then use a Movement by template to control putaway of goods from staging receiving to their final stocking locations.
