cannot close shift on retail application

Hi everyone i'm having a problem with the POS application. This specific user cannot close shift. when we try to close shift it asks us for tender declaration. But we already input it many times. while the other users can close shift normally. any ideas about this problem we're using ax 2012 r3 for retail CU9.

Hi Mark,

Can a different user (or manager) take over the shift in the same POS and close it?

Hi Sorry for the very late reply. when we close shift only the manager has the rights to close shift. so it asks us for the manager's operator id once we enter the credentials of the manager's account the process will close the shift but then suddenly it will say "tender declaration has not been performed". But we already declared our tenders

Hi sorry for the very late reply. i checked the event viewer but there is no error about it. I've also checked the online database and it did write our tender declaration. I still do not know why this is happening

Hi Mark Lai

kindly check once the permission id mapped to the operation "Close Shift" under Retail>setup>POS>Operations. (Applicable to AX 2012 R3 )

The permission group attached to the worker(who is trying to close shift) should be mapped with the operation "Close Shift".

Did you make 'Tender declaration' on the same PC where shift was open or not?

We declared tenders then we close shift. but when it was calculating message says tender declarations have not been made event though we just did. For now we're trying to do blind close shift hope it will solve our problem

Hello Mark,

For the financial perspective, we will not want blind close shift. Because you will not able to track where the cash go. Try check the event viewer on both Channel database server and also POS machine. If still no error, check if the number you enter when you do tender declaration is really in the database.
